Coach Training
Our Coaching Staff is the backbone of Blackhawk Soccer and we are always looking for motivated parents to serve as coaches and assistant coaches on our teams. US Soccer provides many online training courses to prepare coaches for the experience. Periodically, WYSA, provides in-person coaching courses in the area as well. All coach training costs are reimbursed by the club after the successful completion of a coaching course. Coaches are given a stipend at the completion of the season.
Junior Kickers
Adult Coaches of Junior Kickers teams (U6 & U8) should complete the following before the season begins:

1. Create an Online Account (sign up) at the US Soccer Learning Center.
2. Complete the Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Course.
3. Complete the 4 v 4 Course Module online or in-person if available.
4. Complete Safe Soccer Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Phase 3 of Safe Soccer (the background check) is not necessary to complete at this time because WYSA requires all Club coaches to undergo a WYSA coach background check.

Recreational Soccer
Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches of Recreational teams U10, U12 and U15 should complete the following before the season begins:
​
1. Create an Online Account (sign up) at the US Soccer Learning Center.
2. Complete the Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Course.
3. Complete the 7 v 7 (U10, 9 v 9 (U12), or 11 v 11 (U15) Course Module online.
4. Complete Safe Soccer Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Classic Soccer
Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches of Classic teams U10, U12 and U15 should complete the following before the season begins:

1. Create an Online Account (sign up) at the US Soccer Learning Center.
2. Complete the Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Course.
3. Complete the 7 v 7 (U10, 9 v 9 (U12), or 11 v 11 (U15) Course Module in - person.
